Hi everyone (who actually reads this)! just wanted to let everyone know that im alive and uni life is ace! plus, i wanted to brag cos hull gave me McAfee Enterprise Edition for free with no subscription fees (which continues when i leave - indefinately apparently). its worth about £400, so yeah...in your face anyone who pays for antivirus software!!! so...hows everyone doing? hows wcbc?

p.s. derek, you may have got 2 emails from this cos i created it in firefox but then it appeared blank so i had to type it into ie and edit it. this happens a lot, i dont think your coding is being particularly friendly or compatable with firefox...tsk.

This message board is a really good idea and I hope that more people start using it!  This is the first time I've realised that it exists and I look forward to some conversations! :o)

Joel says: Deeper starts again on Tuesday 5th september at 7.30pm. We'll be looking at what we're gonna do this term and catching up a bit. We may briefly look at Isaish 61, because Jesus read it out once and so that makes it pretty cool. It also has lots of info about our own responsibilities...

And people really don't use this any more. Dunno why I'm posting here. People probably should use it. Maybe we should just re-name it the 'Young People's' notice board, since Deeper is only one thing we do. Let me know - if you EVER read this!!!

Hey,

Right, for those of you who dont know, i dont want to be judged by this, its difficult for me to tell people, let alone people at church, i dont want to be ashamed of what i am about to say because its a wonderful thing, some people may disagree but to me its a miracle. I'm pregnant, and i need my friends... people i've grown up with, people i know and trust, one of the reasons i don't come to church is because i just believe that if i do and people find out than people will judge, and i cant deal with that! For the people that do want to judge me, just remember what it says in the bible " those who do not sin, shall cast the first stone" now i dont know the exact words or where it says that, but i do know its written in the bible. For the people who don't want to judge me, if you want to see the first scan pictures, iv'e got them...

It's Deeper again tonight.
We will be looking at Daniel 1-6, and talking about the 40 Day's of Purpose!
Hope you all can make it

It's been a long break since YC closed for the Christmas break (longer for me as I had a holiday as well!!) and we are starting up again this Friday (20th) with the times being 7.30pm until 9pm.

We are also meeting twice a month instead of weekly and future dates are as below (Sam- would you mind entering these dates on the Youth Page?)

Feb 10th & 24th

March 10th & 24th

April 7th & 28th

Also, your comments and feedback would be appreciated to let me know what a) equiment you would like us to get and b) what sort of thinsg woudl you like to do each week.

For this week there will be a music quiz with a prize going to the highest score.

Well Derek has asked us to read Ruth (yeah...we'll see about that...) and also to think of ideas for what deeper could do in december - like a social. i though maye we could post and discuss our ideas here. or if u feel like sharing something randon then feel free. personally im not fussed (about the social or anything random).

this is a quick request for prayer:

my uncle andrew's going in for an operation tomorrow (friday) and is quite scared about it. he has fits and has been told by the doctors that they can't control them with medication anymore so he's having this pacemaker-like thing being put into him to control the pulses in his brain. he's worried about making it through and the implications of what will happen if it doesn't work: ie there's nothing that can be done.

please pray also especially for mum's side of the family: mum (it's her birthday on saturday, i don't want anything going wrong the day before), her sister lois and my grandparents and Andrew's wife Liz, they're all Christians but it's still a worrying time.

Its in a few days and Andy T has decided not to come. Derek told me to talk it up to convince him to come but so far i have achieved no success. If anyone reads this before sun then i have a plan: we all spend a few minutes on sun trying to convinvince him and hassle him into coming, and if he gets annoyed, then I say we all blame Derek...LOL . This better work.............. :p

Right just a quick not to say that we will be playing league football next year (hooray) and that I hope as many of you as possible will be supporting the team as we drive for the champions title (or avoid last place.)

Well here goes my second attempt of getting a message to you all, and without the help of anyone!!! Hope you are having a good week, I'm off to sunny Eastbourne tomorrow can't wait. Hope you are feeling better Derek, and this wasn't a ploy in getting out of the Fellowship Group Leaders Meeting on Monday night. Well must get on with painting my nails, speak to you soon.

Rumour has it (with only 3 days to go) that Derek is playing the piano at Selina's wedding. Surely a man with such talent deserves a new name.... we could start calling him "Ray Charles" or "Derek Bake-hoven" maybe...tell you what, if any of you guys can think of a name before Saturday that makes me laugh I'll give a fiver to the Building Fund!

Just a small thread where you can suggest any fund raising ideas for the building fund project, stuff the youth can do more importantly!

Most of the youth are about to go through some very important exams and stuff and we could all use a bit of prayer, thanks.

why dont the youth list their exams here?

It has taken a few weeks to get to grips with what occurs on Friday nights but I think that all of us (that is your wise and wonderful leaders!!) seem to understand how things work.

For those of you reading this and weren't aware that Friday nights are still running then come along and have some fun. It's the same time (7.30 til 9.30) but we are now meeting in Room 10.

We will plan some more Drama nights and let you know when they will be but it would also be good to have other things planned. Let us know what you want to do. All suggestions welcome but we reserve the right to laugh at you for any daft ideas as well as be mean and say no to all the "you must be joking" ones.

Lastly Room 10 is a little bare. It needs to have a bit of decorating and character. We've got some notice boards for you to write notices on etc as well as if you want to put adverts on to sell stuff (do leaders get discount on things??). If you have any posters, banners etc that you would like to donate than just show them to one of the leaders and as long as what you want to put on the walls is tasteful then it shouldn't be a problem.

Sorry for the long post - apparently one does tend to go on when one gets older!!!

There are so many talented actors/actresses in this church yet we don't have a drama club.why don't we start one up on friday  evenings ? 

OK ! WE KICK- OFF ON FRIDAY THE 15TH APRIL. SPREAD THE WORD TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS.

As you may know Stuart died his hair red for Easter Sunday, to faise money for the building fund.
Very brave of him.  Some one even suggested he should do it again.

How much did he raise?

Our next meeting is in 3 weeks time, when we will be looking at prayer.
To help us think about the subject, what bible verses that refer to prayer?

The West Croydon football team is playing its first match next week at Coney Hall against top league opposistion through Croydon United....

I believe that we will lose but as long as we put in a good performance i'll be a happy chappy...

Keep an eye out on the report be the first to read it on the web-site and post support for the team and a hopeful lack of injuries coupled with a good game :)
