What is Christianity?

Reuben Martin

Reuben Martin

Senior Pastor

Before moving to West Croydon, he spent 13 years church planting on mainland Europe – 7 years in Croatia and 6 years in France.

He is passionate about Jesus, about making Jesus famous and about transforming communities for Jesus. He also loves sport – any sport as long as there are not any horses involved!

Reuben is married to Katie and they have 3 children – Naomi, Rebekah and Benjamin.

Abiodun Obafemi

Abiodun Obafemi

Second Pastor

Abiodun is responsible for pastoral care, discipleship, small groups and prayer/ministry team in the church. He gave up his university academic post to answer God’s call to pastoral ministry and was inducted in 2015. Prior to this he had served extensively in various Christian leadership positions including at West Croydon Baptist Church.

Abiodun is passionate about the pursuit of a closer walk with God personally and congregationally and helping people to know and hunger after God. He yearns for more of God’s manifest presence and the encounter of God’s supernatural power in peoples’ lives and situations. His hobbies include music, reading, photography and lately walking.

Abiodun is married to Funmilayo and they are blessed with three grown up children, Toyin, Ebun, Muyiwa and their lovely grandson Isaac.

She spends much of her spare time running around after her children and grandchildren and is rarely seen without a pair of her trademark Dr Marten boots!

Pauline is married to Martyn and they have four children – Amber, Louis, Mollie and Danny and four grandchildren – Jayden, Miya, Leela and Freya.
