Aims
1. To set up an adult football team at West Croydon Baptist Church with the aim of playing regularly in a Christian league.
2. Act as a starting point for non Christians/members to become involved in the life of the church. Also to build up relatations between the multi ethnic groups within the church over a common ground such as football.
3. To act as a witness to each other and to the outside world.
4. Praise God through the act of Sport! “Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name in the name of Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father by him” - Colossians 3v17*

The West Croydon Football team was formed on 5th February 2005 by Sam Osmond and Peter Stubbs. In its first season it played three friendlies recording one victory! West Croydon were accepted into the Bromley and Croydon Christian league in July 2005 and took part in there first season in 2005/2006 and have remained in it to this date where we finished 5th out of 7 teams and came 3rd in the sportsmanship tables with 8.34 out of 10. In 2006/2007 we finished 5th out of 10 teams and finished with an average of 7.4 in the sportsmanship table. In 2007/2008 we had a very tough season finishing 10th out of 10th but came joint 7th in the sportsmanship league with 8.05 out of 10. To date we have not had much success in the cup competitions or in the league 5 a side!
Communication
We keep in contact via telephone and an email circulation. If you want to read the latest news about the team then it is available on the web site or in the bulletin on Sunday mornings at West Croydon Baptist church at the end of every month. We also have a message board on the web site and a facebook members group.
Pitch
Our home ground is at Lloyd Park which is on Coombe Road. It has free parking but has a maximum stay of 3 hours. The close surrounding areas have plenty of free parking also. The park is right next door to the Croydon tramstop Lloyd Park too which can be reached using the number 3 New Addington Tram. Recent changes due to construction on Lloyd Park have changed the layout but we believe its still currently free!
